ABOUT THE PROJECT
Objectives/Unique Selling Proposition
The Denver North Business Association began in 2005 and came to us as the Elyria-Swansea-Globeville Business Association. It serves as the voice voice for business and entrepreneurs in these areas.
They are a membership-based organization which acts as a liaison between the community, developers and local government as the neighborhoods they serve continue to change and evolve. Their 60+ member businesses are committed to driving the conversation regarding redevelopment and infrastructure improvements, while representing community concerns.
The business association needed to fully rebrand, and was seeking an advertising agency that was equipped based locally in Denver to help them do so. The goal was to determine what marketing elements should be changed, and to develop new, tangible resources to facilitate those changes. A new name, logo, video, mission and other marketing elements were what we ended up developing and presenting as our deliverables.
Strategy
Developing an identity for a brand is a key marketing strategy for any company or organization.
To start, we developed a new logo and identity based on a fundamental symbol of growth – the arrow. To us, this represented the potential for growth in all directions. From increased membership to exciting redevelopment projects reshaping the landscape of the communities they represent, DeNo is no stranger to growth. In fact, it’s powered by it.
Our efforts didn’t end there, however. We also suggested a new name for the organization (at the time, still known as the Elyria-Swansea-Globeville Business Association). We landed on DeNo after taking inspiration from other Denver-area neighborhoods like LoHi and RiNo. Not only was it more concise, it felt more modern and seemed to reflect the constantly adapting nature of the areas DeNo works to represent.
Target Audience
The main target audience for DeNo were the people and retail partners using the business association as their liaison for the larger community and city government. It is these people who make up DeNo and support its initiatives, so we quickly decided that we were focused on their interests.
Results
The entire board of directors was thrilled with the results, and DeNo is now positioned in a much better place to advance their organizing and recruiting efforts. The feedback from members and the local community was also well-received.
Please note: In addition to graphic design, branding, and copywriting, our marketing agency in Denver, Colorado, Dublin, and New York City also offers: strategic planning, social media marketing and optimization, internet marketing services, public relations, media planning and buying, and event marketing.
